Berry Place is the second independent living scheme we designed for Ashford Borough Council, in Ashford. The main communal space has been designed in a soft pink and sage green palette with botanical references linking the inside with the communal gardens. The first floor sub lounge has been designed with a nod to Ashford’s locomotive significance.
A large 1950s Southern Region British Railways network map features as a mural with Pullman carriage style seating. The second floor library area features framed best sellers from local author Frederick Forsyth.
Professional retirement living design with homely and inviting communal spaces can make the move less traumatic but also support residents in making connections with their new neighbours and help them to build new communities.
