‘I had the pleasure of working with Jacqui and David on a recent care home installation – from construction through to completion. The HomeSmiths team were extremely professional and thorough, honing in on intricate details that emphasised their fantastic schemes. Jacqui is especially meticulous with her design for dementia. I would highly recommend their design services for future projects.’

Georgina Williams-Wynn, Interior Design Manager, Savista Design & Build, Henley Manor

‘We called in HomeSmiths to design our soon to be opened Dementia unit and they provided us with an excellent service. We gave them a brief stipulation of the kind of environment we wanted to create and they came back to us with a superb bespoke design. They decided to theme it around famous local people – actors, cooks, and singers – and tied it all into the musical name of the unit. The result is a unit with a peaceful atmosphere with iconic photos and art that helps to stimulate our residents and aid in their memory recall. The tactile displays they installed are works of art in themselves: collages that depict different scenes whilst being a mix of vibrant colours and various fabrics. Furthermore, they were efficient and a pleasure to work with both on and off site. We are extremely impressed with HomeSmiths and would recommend them to anyone that could make use of their services.’

Tina Flack, Home Manager, High Meadows Care Home, Middlesex

‘Many thanks to everyone at HomeSmiths for a great job – we are so pleased everything. You made life very easy for us with all your co-ordination. We couldn’t have done it without your help. All the best and hopefully we will work together again in the future.’

‘Oxford Architects have recently worked with HomeSmiths on the interior design for a residential care home project in Oxford. Their friendly, professional, and pro-active team had a positive attitude and were open to honest collaboration. During the design stage, they carefully considered the needs of their target audience and welcomed feedback which resulted in the completed overall look and feel desired by the client. We have developed a good working relationship with HomeSmiths and that is something we hope to be able to continue doing on other projects in the future.’

Jeannine Baker-Wilson, Associate, Oxford Architects

‘I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the whole team for your consistently fantastic service, amazing vision, attention to detail and patience! I was simply blown away walking into the show flat yesterday. It has reminded me of the journey we’ve made over the last 2 years and that it is of course going to be a fantastic scheme.’

Adrian Moore, Senior Delivery Manager, The Home Group

Praise where praise is due.  For me this starts with the actual relationship we have formed with Jacqui and David.  It has been built on their complete understanding of what we set out to achieve in terms of the feel and concept that we offer to our residents and their families.  Our moto is “providing quality care”, and the interiors of our new build, 5 floor, dementia care home had to reflect this, both in terms of aesthetics, and functionality.  They also had to have the ability to attract the level of resident we aspired to, and Jacqui was very quick to grasp what I wanted.  The whole HomeSmiths team have always acted professionally, been courteous and humorous. Jacqui and David were always full of ideas, over a long and indeed quite stressful year (because projects of this size always are).  All of this without anyone being overly protective of the design, showing what good team players they are; this was very important to me.  Having worked with a few designers, there is always a point where there is potential for a clash, however this never happened with HomeSmiths.  Indeed I felt they worked hand in hand with our design team throughout.  We could simply not have asked for more in terms of forming a relationship, one that we hope will lead onto more projects. In terms of Jacqui’s expertise, she took on board the issues with dementia, poor eyesight, mobility etc. and in all things she understood our needs and those of our residents.  To this end we have received no end of compliments from families, residents and many professionals. As the owner I could not be more satisfied.  Please accept this as my personal thanks for the time, effort and pure professionalism shown on The Lindsay.

We are extremely happy with the quality and standard of the work that the Homesmiths team has done at our new build care home, The Willows in Ipswich. From the initial design meeting where we went through our requirements and ideas through to the grand opening nearly a year later, everything has been done to the highest standard. Jacqui and David themselves have been a joy to work with, understanding what we were after perfectly. Their ideas and general styling has been fab and the home looks phenomenal. The comments we received from everyone at the opening were superb and mostly around the design, colour and furniture, which were down to Homesmiths.

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Jacqui, David and the entire Homesmiths team, and we hope to work with them on many more projects in the future. We would definitely recommend Homesmiths to any one looking for a fantastic interior design company.

HomeSmiths have been a key part of the delivery team for West Kent’s first Extra Care project. I have found Jacqui and the HomeSmiths team to be knowledgeable and understanding of our needs. They were an integral part of our consultation with residents and have been very responsive to specification changes and enhancements as the project has progressed. I can wholeheartedly recommend the HomeSmiths interior design team.

When we bought a new house that we knew would be a project involving a complete interior re-design we knew who to ask; having worked with David and Jacqui for over 10 years and knew they would be that their company Homesmiths would be perfect for the ideas we had.

Our new house meant a complete change of style for us from modern and minimal to chic and more traditional swapping wood oak floors for plush, luxurious carpets and bright colours for a calmer, paler palette. I spent months saving ideas to my Pinterest and Houzz accounts knowing that I wanted textures but not statement patterns but for it to feel luxurious yet homely. I knew Jacqui would understand what we needed in our soft furnishings and style and David would provide us with amazing bathrooms and carpentry. On seeing our amazing mood-boards I knew they had listened to what we asked for and completely understood our brief – I was overwhelmed by the ideas (I may have even cried a little!)

Every part of their design was stunning and each room has taken on a wonderful new identity but yet the whole house still flows together just as I specified. Jacqui and David are so calm to work with and nothing is ever too much trouble and this ethos obviously extends to their staff as they were all so helpful and made a stressful 6 months enjoyable. We had many companies working on site (it was like DIY SOS) and Homesmiths fitted in well and worked well with all of our professionals – David also kindly acted as project manager ensuring I didn’t need to be onsite everyday making the project run smoothly. Jacqui made all the rooms stunning with gorgeous fabrics, textures and shades, just as I’d asked, but David blew me away with his innovative ideas for our ensuite which he changed from a ‘footballers wives’ bathroom with a ridiculous oversized bath and dark terracotta tiling and turned it in to a beautiful, panelled period space moving walls to give us 30 % more space to get what we needed.

All of the rooms are just stunning and draw so many comments from our friends and family and visitors saying we should be in ‘Homes and Gardens’ and I spend every morning waking up feeling so lucky to live in the most beautiful house that is everything I could wish for.

I cant recommend David, Jacqui and all their team enough. Their passion, professionalism and innovation provided us with our dream home and I cant recommend them highly enough.

HomeSmiths have transformed our apartment into a beautiful home.  Our flat was dark, tired and dated and had suffered extensive damage after a fire. They were a joy to work with, full of ideas and advice that were both modern and sympathetic to the history of the house. The sitting room and hall are just stunning; light, bright and endlessly attractive. They skilfully wove our ideas into a co-ordinated, stylish and grown-up space anyone would be proud to show off.

Together, they project managed the whole process with care and aplomb and have produced an amazing result, which is comfortable, practical and looks like a 5 star hotel. The quality and craftsmanship of their work is first class. We can’t recommend them highly enough. We were so fortunate to have met them. They’ve transformed our lives.

Philip and Alan, Capel, Surrey

As the very proud owner of an amazing new kitchen, I cannot thank HomeSmiths enough, it has made a massive difference to our lives. It doesn’t even seem like the same house. We are so impressed with HomeSmiths we have asked them to do our bathroom next and have recommended them to our friends. We could not have taken on such a big project without their support, the thought of knocking down walls had terrified us! Jacqui and David were brilliant, and a real inspiration with their ideas.

Rob and Karen, Lindfield, West Sussex

We engaged Homesmiths to assist with the design of our above garage extension. This comprised of two double bedrooms each with an additional small mezzanine study areas and between the bedrooms, a shared Jack and Jill bathroom. David and Jacqui attended the house and went through our ideas and thoughts, taking measurements of the available space and also taking the time to engage with our children aged 9 and 11 about their thoughts for their new bedrooms. Now that the work has been completed and the children have been living in their rooms for around 3 months we have to say that we still think the rooms look stunning. All in all we really appreciated the input that Homesmiths put into out extension project and we felt they really added value to the process.

Homesmiths designed and implemented a splendid refurbishment of our social centre for the older residents of Lewes during 2014. They came up with attractive proposals for soft furnishings, colour schemes and finishes, placed the orders, contracted the decorators and flooring firms and provided oversight to the whole project. Homesmiths understood the needs of older people, were ready to engage in helpful dialogue throughout the process and to make any necessary adjustments once the scheme had been ‘road-tested’ by our members. Homesmiths provided friendly, timely and professional guidance and support without which we could not have achieved such an attractive and comfortable ‘new-look’ at the Lewes House of Friendship.
