Brook House, a dementia care home in Essex has been designed in a classical style to work with the traditional features of the building. A bespoke recolour of the Rachel design from Panaz’s Archive collection has been used for curtains in the main resident lounge. The quiet lounge and adjoining library have been designed in a blue and green palette, the library with an angling theme and the quiet lounge has been styled with traditional willow pattern china. At HomeSmiths we are acutely aware of how important it is for those living in a care home to feel that sense of home. For many residents moving out of their family home and into a care environment for the first time, the change can be huge so how the home looks and crucially it makes them feel when they first come in, will make an enormous difference to how a resident settles.
