Brackley Care Home Design Northamptonshire

This 66 bed purpose built care home, in the village of Brackley was completed at the end of 2020.  Designed with sensory and cognitive decline in mind, the home features location specific and memory stimulating touches throughout, including the old train station, lace making and Silverstone race track.  The communal areas comprise reception café, sun lounge, library, cinema, resident lounges and dining areas.  Bespoke fitted furniture including nurses stations, book cases and TV units was designed by David.  By working with the local Facebook group in Brackley, we were able to source some fantastic and unique old photographs of the village which are showcased in the library.  Whilst the first floor bedrooms provide specific accommodation for residents living with dementia, the whole home has been designed using inclusive design principles.

Thank you to Teal Living for introducing us to the client and for manufacturing the lovely furniture.

HomeSmiths is passionate about creating safe, inviting and homely environments

At HomeSmiths we are acutely aware of how important it is for those living in a care home to feel that sense of home. For many residents moving out of their family home and into a care environment for the first time, the change can be huge so how the home looks and crucially it makes them feel when they first come in, will make an enormous difference to how a resident settles.
