Blind Veterans UK approached us as they were looking to convert some previously used office space into some resident spaces, specifically a cinema, a hair salon and a quiet lounge. Working around a variety of existing structural features, we created three new spaces. The new cinema and salon schemes reflect the Art Deco style of the building whilst the quiet lounge has been fitted out with a nautical theme including framed vintage Royal Navy uniforms. Furniture from Shackletons and soft furnishing from DJM Designs.

At HomeSmiths we are acutely aware of how important it is for those living in a care home to feel that sense of home. For many residents moving out of their family home and into a care environment for the first time, the change can be huge so how the home looks and crucially it makes them feel when they first come in, will make an enormous difference to how a resident settles.
